Drawing the Court in Brussels

On February 2, 2010, the Drawing the Court art show has opened in Brussels, in the European Parliament HQ. Representatives of the Parliament, public organizations, and Memorial society spoke at the opening ceremony. In his presentation Mr. Mikhail Kasyanov, an unexpected speaker, as the art show Brussels promoters claimed, said that Russia is not a democratic state now, and he was indignant at numerous human rights violations in Russia.
Mr. Sergey Kuznetsov, the SKCG head, noted in his speech that the contest organizers were never hindered by the authorities in their work.
The art show in Brussels will be open through to February 5.
